 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I rented a car from Car Rental Uganda for three weeks in August 2024.
We were picked up at the airport at 04.00 in the morning as agreed. We paid for the car hire for our trip in cash in dollars against a receipt. We signed a contract with each other.
Fortunately, we never had a breakdown. In the end, we returned the car to Entebbe.
We are happy to recommend this friendly and competent company.
Everything went according to plan.
Very reliable and trustworthy.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Based in London, England, we wanted to book a car with a driver for four days to take us around various places in Uganda. Searched on Google and found Car Rental Uganda. Mr Kayima, was our initial contact who understood our requirements and made the booking process very smooth. We were picked-up from Entebbe airport and travelled to Jinja, Kakira, Lugazi and Kampala, after four days we returned to the airport. Our driver, Richard, was very kind, courteous and knowledgeable, kept us feeling 'at home' during the four days. Richard's company was great and made our Uganda trip a memorable one.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Me and my companion had designed our itinerary and we had a desire if venturing some good spaces. But we were left without a traveling mean. That's when my fellow worker came up with an ideology of booking with Car Rental Uganda. But from day one, upto our last day, they were cooperative, responsible and accurate.
Nevertheless,of the renowned potholes in some local communities were we passed, we unfortunately got a tyre puncture! We were stuck, and that's when I texted Ashraf, took further responsibilities..and contacted to the mechanical team. In less than an hour, the matter was resolved.
So our self drive journey came to an end without getting inconveniences. I there by appreciate their services..

Initially, communication with Kayima was good and I was assured that the car was in perfect condition and that we could drive into the country without any worries. The car was delivered with 3 good tires and one completely worn-out tire, which happened to be mounted on the left rear axle so I might not see it (picture). After some discussion, I was assured that, contrary to what is stated in the contract, I'm not responsible for this tire. Despite this, we had problems at every police check and had to pay small fines, which we only got partially refunded. Next time we will look for a reputable and professional car rental company.

Edit:
Describing the tire pictured as "just old" shows how unprofessional and dishonest this company is. No sign of admission of guilt or apology.

The contract was filled in and signed with the amount of 260€
