Cost of Renting a Driver or Guide in Uganda
The rate for renting a driver with us is normally 40$ per day and this covers his accommodation, meals, and wage.
But in most cases, the driver costs are incorporated into the rate main rental fees with the vehicle. It is noteworthy that the rental package fees exclude fuel. The client/traveler is responsible for refilling the fuel tank at all times during the trip. However, if the client wishes to have a quotation for a complete car rental package, we include the fuel swiftly.
Difference Between a Chauffeur And Safari Driver Guide
What you have to keep in mind is that there are two types of car hire drivers we have, the chauffeur and the safari guide role of the chauffeur is not like that of a safari driver guide.
The chauffeur has fewer duties to perform. His prime role is to drive you to your preferred destination, offer you the necessary travel information about the country, and help you load and offload your luggage from the car.
Whereas the safari driver guide goes beyond to help in the arrangement of the accommodations and park activities. And more so, leads and offers guidance in some activities such as game drives.
Therefore while booking with us be sure to stipulate the kind of driver you wish to hire, it could be a chauffeur or a safari guide and these two differ in the rates charged.
For instance, a safari driver guide commands a higher rate of 40$ per day than a chauffeur who is normally hired at only 35$ per day.
